100 years later---Have we learned anything from the ride?
Terry Goddard was born and grew up in Tucson, actually in a home close behind this church. When his Dad was elected Governor, the family moved to Phoenix. Terry served 2 terms as Arizona’s Attorney General, winning numerous awards for his work, including the Kelly-Wyman Award, the top recognition given each year by his fellow Attorneys General. He was elected Mayor of Phoenix four times and President of the National League of Cities in 1988 and named Municipal Leader of the Year in 1989. During the past year he taught at Columbia Law School and gave a graduate level course at ASU College of Public Programs, and next week he will be a Wasserstein fellow at Harvard Law School.
