Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson

Oct 4: Social Justice and Education

We welcome diversity. We commit to undo racism and all other oppressions in ourselves, our church,
and our community.
We live in an age in which the fundamental principles to which we subscribe - liberty, equality and justice for all - are encountering extraordinary challenges,... But it is also an age in which we can join hands with others who hold to those principles and face similar challenges.

Social Justice

The Social Justice Council, chaired by This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 11am.  All are invited to participate.

Share the Plate October, 2021

Our Share the plate for the month of August is Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse

Answering the Call...
…to End Domestic Violence is about engaging our community in ending the entire spectrum of abuse that so many of our family, friends and colleagues experience every day. The question isn’t what should we do but, rather, are we willing to do something?

Cafe Justo Coffee

Sales - and delivery - of Café Justo coffee are continuing. This Social Justice Council (SJC) project benefits small-scale, shade-grown organic coffee growers in Chiapas, Mexico.

Renewal
Our theme in worship and RE this month is "Renewal." What are we renewing? Where in your life do you feel the need for renewal (like getting more sleep?) and where do you feel full up? What commitments are you willing to renew and which do you need to let go? Our resources this month ask us to think about Renewal in terms of our commitments to our communities, to our churches, to each other, and to ourselves. Let's explore!
