Chalice Chapel

Preschool (3-4 year olds), kindergarten and first grades meet with a team of teachers following Chalice Chapel. This year's class uses the UUA Curriculum, We Are Many, We Are One, designed to help young children use their minds, bodies and emotions to develop their sense of personal identity within our Unitarian Universalist Community. We are currently in the preparatory and training stages to bring our younger children the exciting new curriculum, Spirit Play. This Montessori based program uses stories and the arts to introduce children to our UU Principles and sources, sacred places, creation stories, and more. |

This is a 15-minute service co-led by youth and adults with consistent ritual including chalice lighting, singing, message and closing. The theme of each Sunday's chapel is based on the unit the children and youth are exploring. |

In the spirit of creating a participatory, empowering space relevant to the spiritual development process of our children, our Elementary School Class for children in Grades 2-5, uses both standard curricula and curricula designed by our congregation specifically for our children. This year includes our self designed programs UU Community, designed to introduce children to spiritual practice in a participatory fashion through fun, games and the arts, and Winter Festivals, a project-oriented unit exploring our commitment to social action as well as Judeo-Christian winter holidays. |
